Sondra Roberts

I have lived and worked across three continents, so have a diverse eclectic style of writing and thinking about the world. I love literature and am naturally poetic in my speech and thought processes.

I have been a veterinary nurse, and swim teacher, along with a dozen other careers, which has given me a great understanding and empathy with many types of people and places.

Now retired and writing full time, incorporating all my experiences into my writing.

I have written a large novel; some would call it a trilogy. Based on my life experiences. Three Poetry books and an Anthology of diverse works.

I hope to give a voice to those who have never known how to express theirs or have had it stolen or damaged by others. Please enter my world and enjoy the ‘Journeys’ through my writing.

I love to write poetry about the things I see in the small rural towns around Australia. Welcome to my world.

About the book

COFFEE TRUTH AND COURAGE

Emotions rule our world. Sometimes you need a really good cry, other days a hearty laugh.

This book and a Little Brown Suitcase give it all. Anthea is ninety-nine years old and realizes she has to write her memoirs before she reaches 100.

All she has is a Schaffer pen, her memories, and a blank page. From her lakeside log cabin on the edges of Lake Windermere amongst the haunting shadows of the trees, Anthea remembers Café B in Baker Street and the many words recorded and soaked up inside the wood grain of the Ancient Table. Table 31 holds truth, conversations, tragedies, and life situations from all the conversations with her friends. Words that cannot be lost or destroyed.

How will she find TRUTH? After the table was destroyed, when the café burned to the ground, everything became clear.

How will Anthea reconcile the many stories of grief and courage still hidden in parts of the table and an old brown suitcase that were found amongst the rubble?
